Frequently Asked Questions
Can I switch between plans?
You can switch between Starter and Pro yourself at any time in the billing portal: upgrades take effect immediately, downgrades at the end of your current billing period. Lifetime is the exception — it is a one-time payment rather than a subscription, so it cannot be booked as a plan change. You buy Lifetime here on this page, receive its own licence key, and then cancel your existing subscription in the billing portal.
What is the Free Demo Version?
The Free Demo Version includes limited features: 100 Monte Carlo iterations, 1 scenario, no Active Trading, 5 max levels, and 50 max shares, available for 30 days from your first launch. It’s a great way to explore GridTraderPro before upgrading to a paid plan.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes, you can cancel your subscription at any time without penalties. Your licence stays active until the end of your paid billing period — no further automatic charges to your credit card. Your scenarios, settings and trading data live on your own PC and stay there. You can cancel yourself at any time in the customer portal, where you also manage payment details and invoices.
How does hardware binding work?
Each license is bound to a single computer based on hardware identifiers (CPU, disk, network MAC). This ensures that your license cannot be shared or distributed. If you need to transfer your license to a new machine, contact our support team.
Do I need broker accounts to use GridTraderPro?
Yes, you need at least one active trading account with Interactive Brokers, Charles Schwab or Alpaca. GridTraderPro cannot open accounts for you — you must set up your broker account separately. All three brokers offer free accounts with no minimum balance for paper trading.
What payment methods do you accept?
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. We accept credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex).
Can I use GridTraderPro on multiple computers?
Every license — Starter, Pro and Lifetime alike — is bound to one computer through hardware binding. Lifetime means no recurring payments, not additional installations. If you replace your machine, contact support and we will transfer your license; if you need to run GridTraderPro on several computers, simply purchase an additional licence — each licence comes with its own key.
